Dropstitch technology makes it possible to inflate the air chambers with a much higher air pressure than standard inflatables. This feature is most commonly seen in paddleboards, and once filled with enough air and pressure the inflated chamber as stiff and flat as a board.

MĀKI's kayak combines the benefits of inflatables with the most desirable features of hardshell kayaks. Like other inflatables, it's much lighter than hardshell kayaks, and packs down when deflated. This means it can be easily transported by a single person, in any vehicle, and without need for roof racks.
It doesn't require any special pump to inflate, and once fully inflated, it is highly rigid. It looks and feels solid but is light and more buoyant than standard inflatables. Performance-wise, it's much more hydrodynamic than other inflatable kayaks with maneuverability and balance more similar to that of hardshell kayaks.
