Versatile in application. Fluid in approach. Unwavering in spirit.

At MĀKI, we go beyond providing services. We create end-to-end solutions that help organisations solve complex challenges in water monitoring, surveying, and asset management. Our solutions are built around autonomous surface vessels (USVs), remotely operated vehicles (ROVs), drones, and IoT sensor systems, all designed to operate in challenging environments with precision and reliability.

Whether it's developing custom water sampling platforms, integrating sonar and vision systems for underwater inspection, or designing bespoke monitoring frames for long-term environmental data collection, we tailor each solution to meet the specific needs of our clients. By combing engineering expertise with cutting -edge technology, we deliver cost-effective, adaptive, and practical tools that improve safety, reduce manual effort, and provide actionable insights.

Our solutions are developed in close collaboration with industry partners, councils, and researchers, ensuring they are not only technically advanced but also fit for purpose in New Zealand's unique conditions. From one-off prototypes to fully integrated systems, we work with you to design and deploy technology that makes water management and environmental protection smarter, faster and more efficient.

AUV

Customised AUVs
– Autonomous Underwater Exploration

For larger-scale and deeper-water projects, we develop customised autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) that operate independently over extended missions. These vehicles can be fitted with sonar arrays, cameras, and environmental sensors to map seabeds, monitor marine ecosystems, or inspect submerged infrastructure. By automating underwater data collection, our AUV solutions provide efficient coverage of wide areas, reducing costs while increasing survey accuracy and consistency.
